A Harvest of Young, Local Musical Talent at the United Reformed Church in Macclesfield
Friday 29 September starting at 7.30pm.

This promises to be a very special evening of music-making, to suit all tastes. In the first half there will be seven performances from young aspiring musicians between the ages of 11 and 17,singing or playing on a wide range of instruments in contrasting styles. They are enthusiastic and delighted to have the opportunity to share their musical gifts with us. The second half will be given over to three budding professionals studying at the RNCM, on the brink of a professional career – violinist Georgina Bloomfield, mezzo-soprano Olivia Hamblyn and tenor Henry Strutt. What a treat!! We are really privileged that Martyn Parkes, a professional accompanist, who lives locally, has kindly agreed to play for these young artists. During the interval there will be home-made cakes and other refreshments available, for which a donation would be appreciated. We trust this gives you a clear picture of what promises to be a most enjoyable and uplifting evening of music-making. Don’t miss the Feel Good Factor of this special occasion – save the date!

In the first half of the concert, four of the seven performers are current King’s pupils: Harriet Bright, piano; Rubi Ambrey Brosnahan, oboe; Elijah Craine, electric guitar, and Dylan Eldershaw, violin.

The second half will feature three under/post-graduate students from the RNCM. All three performers are recent former pupils of King’s: violinist Georgina Bloomfield, mezzo-soprano Olivia Hamblyn and tenor Henry Strutt. It will be AMAZING to hear them, on the cusp of their professional careers.
